History
In 1986, Earle Furman, Jr. left the Furman Co. to start a new commercial real estate company that would specialize in industrial real estate. In November of that year, Earle moved into a small one- room office located on East Washington Street in downtown Greenville, South Carolina to open Earle Furman & Associates. The firm quickly grew to a staff of 7 in the mid 90’s and relocated to a larger office on North Academy Street.
In 1996, the company grew further to include 14 brokers, several partners and 10 support staff. This period of growth allowed the company to also specialize in office and retail properties.
In 1997, they expanded to include a Property Management Division.
In December of 1999, Earle Furman & Associates affiliated with NAI Global, the world’s only managed network of commercial real estate firms. As a member of New America International (NAI), the company was able to provide real estate services to national and international clients, as well as local Upstate clients. They also gained access to a host of resources and technology. The company was rebranded as NAI Earle Furman, LLC and continued to develop as a leader in the market.
The company grew to a staff of thirty in 2003 and relocated to their current location at 101 East Washington Street in downtown Greenville. In 2004, the company was named the top ranked commercial real estate company in the Upstate by GSA Business, a recognition they have since received every year.
In 2006, Earle Furman and his employees celebrated their twenty year milestone of providing commercial real estate services to Upstate, South Carolina.
In 2009, NAI Earle Furman, LLC grew to 50 team members and in 2010 the Property Management Division reached five million square feet of managed commercial space in North and South Carolina.
In 2011, the firm celebrated its silver anniversary marking twenty five years in business and a continued commitment to the Upstate.
In 2012, NAI Earle Furman opens its Spartanburg Office at 314 South Pine Street.
In 2014, NAI Earle Furman opens its Anderson Office at 130 East Earle Street.
In 2016, NAI Earle Furman celebrated its 30th Anniversary.
In 2017, NAI Earle Furman and NAI Piedmont Triad joined forces.
In 2019, the teams expanded their market footprint by partnering with NAI Columbia operating in the South Carolina Midlands.
In 2023, NAI Columbia officially merged with NAI Earle Furman.
In 2024, NAI Piedmont Triad opened its third location in Winston-Salem, NC bringing the total number of combined offices to seven.
